November Exhibit in the Heritage Room

Local artist, Tammy Bakewell has a master of art degree from New York university and is a self taught knitter who has been knitting since early childhood.

The Lakewood Memorial Library exhibit includes heirloom quality hand knit/felted wool Christmas/Hanukkah stockings. Knitting these stockings has helped her pass the long snowy Western New York winters. They include vibrant & muted colors with decorations reflecting her love of pattern and texture. Each stocking has a leather strap and hanging wooden disk that can be personalized with the name, initials or left as decoration and are for sale at $42.50 each including tax.

Also in the exhibit are hand knit wool, wool blend, and mohair mittens available in Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s (XS-L) sizes and range in price from $13-$23 including tax.

The show will run until Nov. 30th.
